Tap is a multiple European award winning tattoo artist, and has tattooed in the United States, Canada, Spain, France, Germany and the UK since 1988.
He began his pursuit of this art form while serving in the Navy as a hospital corpsman in 1988. His first tattoos on fellow sailors were done with machines he built from kits and thus began his interest in tattoo machines and what makes them do what they do. He continues to build and use hand crafted one of a kind tattoo machines that he builds from scratch in his machine shop. These fine hand crafted machines"Tapirons" are available at the shop and online.Tap has owned and operated tattoo shops in Vitoria, Basque capitol, and managed studios in Madrid also. He owned and operated Tattoo Beat in Longview,Washington.
Tap is proficient and versatile in all styles of tattooing, especially flowing artistic designs, art nouveau, gothic, biomechanical, and black and grey work.
